Okay so the main take away from the episode we saw Today was what was going on with Boruto and his EYE?
Scenario #1
Boruto's eye can make a wormhole like Kamui and can either place them in another dimension or bring its target to another locale...
So this is one that is self explanatory and also has the next week's episode preview adding to it....
So I don't really need to explain much since it has been hammered to death....
The only flaw here is that Sumire was first shocked with Boruto's eye's lightning but when the Teleportation was actually occurring she seems to be under complete control (or self assured)
Scenario #2
Boruto's eye takes some traits from its Hyuga/Byakugan lineage and upgrades the Bykugan to have also Gentle Fist Abilities and Paralyses.
The special effect as shown via lightning is to compare lightnings nature of paralyses with GentleFists ability to stun and seal chakra points....
Like how the Sharingan basically only had forms of precog and insight with the 3T and below (besides the added genjutsu abilities), the byakugan's evolved form can later achieve emitting power capabilities like MS and EMS.
Add the speculation that the MS version of the byakugan would still in a sense follow the GF/Hyuga Chakra manipulation chain/tree and you would have the dojutsu Boruto has doing feats like following a chakra link chain to the origin user and maybe either sealing chakra from Sumire (which she felt and decided to bail with her creature via its teleportation) or chakra draining.
Scenario #3
This is the most wild one that explains what might've happened... Boruto's eye might have the ability to steal temporarily or use an users ninjitsu when the user is close by or touched...
This would explain how Boruto summoned Sumire's creature... or the scene at the post office that had Boruto seeing the beast teleport away while his eye was active or even the current scene with Sumire and Mitsuki....
This doesn't mean that he has the person's ability for forever or that he can hold on to it and use it for another occasion like Momo's Rinnegan.
Instead it means that he (likely due to again being a bykugan based eye) would take chakra/ninjutsu from a said user and quickly convert it out as a quick counter or mirror like attack.
Sumire noticed this and then likely just went with the flow to retreat with her teleportation that was used against her.

He unconsciously wants to do something and the eye steals away some chakra from a said user and issues that users ability against them or whatever Boruto may choose.
