Nue Absorbtion!

Nue has to bite you with its snake tails to absorb chakra.

It cannot absorb ninjutsu just through direct contact:

Kakashi purple lighting, not absorbed.
Sais ink bird, not absorbed.
Konohamarus rasengan, not absorbed. (That other episode)
The mud walls & barrier, not absorbed.

Kakashi was only concerned that Naruto would slip up and get some chakra absorbed. Especially in his chakra mode. (Or his avatar? Which I'm sure Nue could bite)

& im pretty sure killing the Nue doesn't instantly set it off, Kakashi said the user would ignite it as a last resort. Even so, Naruto can handle a lil Nue explosion if he could handle Momoshikis hugeee Tailed Beast Bomb.

I'll go ahead and add Sasuke could of handled the Nue even easier with his meteor splitting chidori in comparison to the damage Kakashi did.

I hope this preta path feat giveaway isn't to deny Sasuke could handle this easier than Naruto.

That whole scenario was plot so Boruto will be the star of hope. & more father child comparisons and development with Sumire which I like so I don't mind.

A base RS to the neck should have done the job just fine. Which is one of the reasons this ep upsets me.
Except it feels so forced. So many grown, experienced shinobi have to be incompetent for Boruto to get his 15 mins. He also feels so very unoriginal. It upsets me.

I agree it was logical to be cautious mainly because of the Nue being able to detonate but giving the Nue preta path feats is fanfic.

It's been repeatedly shown and explicitly stated that it absorbs through biting people. Kakashi was the one that warned Naruto and he already hit Nue with his strongest jutsu that didn't get absorbed.

I'm 99% sure Kakashi was referring to kurama avatar because Naruto doesn't even need a chakra mode to one shot with a rasenshuriken. & Naruto loves to battle big creatures with his avatar

No even base Naruto Has the nine taiks chakra so he can't fight the nue at all . If naruto was to be absorbed a little the nue would instantly detonate and detsroy the village

Naruto wasn't useless in this battle. Naruto has frog fu and shockwave attacks that are very useful against absorption opponents. Don't forget about Naruto's battle with Ghost Pain. Naruto is now much more power and skilled.

I'm surprise Naruto didn't use a sealing jutsu. You would think with his skills in sealing jutsu he could have used one. In "the Last" he showed off his sealing jutsu skills by either creating a new 9 tails seal or changed his 9 tail seal in a way that it allows the 9 tails to be released from his body.

No. I just explained how Naruto possess jutsu/ability that are useful against opponents that can absorb chakra and how he could have used those jutsu/ability to defeat Nue.
