My job field is biochemistry. I wouldn't say I have a field of expertise yet, but I've been working in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 2 years, as a pharmacy technician, and now a pharmacist assistant.

I don't plan to work in pharmacy once I get my degree tho, I'm planning on working for a research institute that specializes in genetics (either genetic engineering or genetic biotech).

Right now I am actually switching majors from chemical engineering to electrical engineering. I'm not dead set on any particular field (I feel kinda ostracized because I never dabbled with programming or electronics growing up like everybody else claims), but I think biomedical devices looks like an interesting industry!

Man, MechE people had a boat load of jobs awaiting them upon graduation... I'm a bit jealous of the versatility not gonna lie. But I don't think I really fit into that type of environment. My worst grade in high school was for woodtechnology, lol. If we're going for generalizations here, I probably fit in better with the computer science people. But of course, they also had a lot of practice before going to college. One guy I talked to started coding when he was 7...

Working on a computer science degree and have a programming internship at a studio. Programming takes a special type of patience and I've developed a habit of getting angry when I look at computers.

If you're serious about the bold let me know. I can hook you up with some job positions. I know which companies are hiring. Especially you filthy electrical engineering rats.

Welcome to the master race. Don't be disheartened by having no prior experience, you'll find that a lot of people exaggerate their own. You shouldn't be too far behind unless you're skipping the introductory electrical papers and jumping straight into the more advanced material.

Especially you filthy electrical engineering rats.

Dem be fighting words.
