Trump's travel ban

Guys, I need your honest opinions about the impact of Trump's travel ban! Unfortunately, I am from one of those 6 countries & I have been planning to study my postgraduate in the US starting from fall 2018, meh!

At this rate, do you think it's a good idea to think about that destination? I'm studying GRE & IELTS & was looking forward to win a merit-based scholarship with my grades & a proposal for which I have worked a lot. What should I do?

I'm making this thread since I have heard yesterday that the US Supreme Court agreed to that travel ban. I just read now that it's partially agreed, temporary & for 90 days. Students may still get a visa...I'm still worried about my future :nuts: I really need the scholarship & they have told me I have better chances there U_U

In this current day, Canada is always the better option than the United States. With all the politics, and how it's not the country it used to be anymore, I would even argue going to Australia would bring about a better life than you would have there. That depends on what lights your candle of course, but as it is, that country is slowing getting exposed. The political system is corrupt, and worse of all, the citizens don't even see they're being played, and that regardless of who they voted for, the candidate the government will select will only rely on what it thinks will benefit it.

I say consult the university you applied and approach your countries consulate office. I hope everything gets resolved. Pretty sure he must be allowing students for studying there .

I am in my choice you go ahead what you are doing. Do apply to Canada and Germany if possible but overall most of university do want people the ban probably wouldn't impact students.

Well, unfortunately the main problem is usually getting a good scholarship & not to mention that I'm a BA student...In other places like Canada, only a few of them are really that good & that would make it really tough to win the competition. I have been after Australia too, but they don't give scholarships to foreign students for MA, but only in rare occasions! England...it's too expensive imo! Not saying US is cheap, but UK is worse when it comes to the prices...That's why I'm stressed atm! :'( I do have some information about other places...
