Why aren't Sharingan users DESTROYING the competition?

lets say X = all respectable ninja around jonin level without any power ups (like darui, asuma, etc)

Then let's say Sharingan equals X+1 because it's a bonus power up, like going SSJ

Then how is it that X jonin are able to keep up with X+1 jonin?


Shouldn't X+1 > X? If all jonin start off at X before Sharingan is activated?

Does that mean Uchihas need the Sharingan just to keep up with regular Jonin?

Sharingan was never stated to enhance a person's power in fact it's vice versa, the stronger the person is the stronger their dojutsu. Someone that sucks at ninjutsu won't be able to use copy tech like someone that excels in it.


And another thing, you're assuming every Uchiha is like Sasuke and Itachi which ISN'T THE CASE. Most Uchiha in post-war generation didn't have dojutsu as 3T Sharingan was considered rare.

That's not how it works. Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu along with physical capabilities together make up a ninja's power. Sharingan only boosts reaction speed and Taijutsu as an extension along w/ the ability to cast Genjutsu. Shinobi w/o Sharingan are matching those with it because the Ninjutsu they possess is strong enough to pose a threat, that and certain shinobi simply have superior physical abilities. So defining a broad level of power by X doesn't make sense.

Having sharingan is already rare so what do u expect. Just having the sharingan isnt enough. U need to train constantly.

Because not all Uchiha are good ninja, and many in clan were not even ninja at all. It is just known, that Uchiha has some notorious, strong members. Dojutsu gives them good potential but not all can use it. Because some even without kekkei genkai can archive good results, like Rock Lee for example. Also, having Sharingan does not give anything much. One has to know how to use it properly and practice.
I grew up myself in militaristic family. Already since childhood I have been shooting guns, target practicing and my father wanted me to join military, but I chose not to as I like different hobbies/career and probably waste this opportunity and potential.

Well probably because they become complacent. The Uchiha also inherit the sages yin energy and chakra so with that in mind they should excel at multiple types of ninjutsu and Genjutsu. The only rational reasons I can see for this is complacency or plot shield for the nv.

That without Sharingan, at that point, his Ninjutsu alone aren't enough to bridge the gap mainly due to Shadow Clones.

Uchiha's are naturally talented. They don't need the Sharingan to be on the level of a normal Jounin, if they don't have the eyes I'm sure they'd make up for it by normally training. They're still shinobi regardless of having the Sharingan.

Seeing chakra is good for participating regular clones and other technical tactics like being able to see the clay bombs underground in the deidara sasuke fight.And even then sasuke barely survived.
