~ Narrator: Some hours later, the Hokage had called in a meeting on top of the Hokage building.
Hokage: Alright. Now that you all are here, I’ll brief you about the current situation.
As some of you know, the Akatsuki has finally made their comeback after their major defeat in the grass country 12 years ago (Note: 4 years after current manga time.). They`ve attacked Iwa, Kiri and Kumo, and they've traveled through the wind country not far from Suna, and were heading towards Konoha earlier this day. Fortunately we managed to force them to retreat, however Iwa had major loses and the 4th Tsuchikage died. There will be a Kage meeting in Kiri in four days were I myself and a selected few will attend.
Narrator: Shikamaru then stepped forward.
Shikamaru: This is all the Intel we got for now, but the issue will be discussed more at the meeting.
Hokage: I've decided to take the following with me on the trip.
Narrator: The Hokage started reading from a list.
Hokage: I want both my advisers to come, meaning Shikamaru and Tsunade. The third in command, Sakura. And lastly, Rock Lee. You will join as well.
Narrator: The ones listed agreed, but then Konohamaru interrupted.
Konohamaru: Why can`t I come?
Hokage: I got some other business for you.
Konohamaru: And what`s that?
Hokage: Just wait and I will tell you.
(*continued*) Neji, Shino and Sai. You guys will be in charge of our village`s defenses in case Akatsuki attacks again while I`m gone.
Narrator: The three of them agreed.
Hokage: Kiba, Tenten, Ino and Choji. You will attend your regular jobs and act as support if anything should happen.
Narrator: They too agreed as well.
Hokage: Lastly, Kakashi you will be second in command while I`m gone. Gai you`ll replace Rock Lee at the Taijutsu academy and watch over his and Sakura`s son Hiruzen, and Yamato you will watch over my son and wife.
Jiraiya: I don`t need anyone to watch over me!
Narrator: He said with a little irritated tone in his voice.
Yamato: There`s no reason to get mad Jiraiya, now is it?
Narrator: As they all accepted their jobs, the Hokage turned to Shikamaru and said:
Hokage: “I want your wife to join as well if you don`t mind?”
Shikamaru: Uhhh... Yeah sure, I`ll notify her. But who will watch over our daughter while we`re gone?
Hokage: Can`t you ask Kurenai and her daughter to watch over Mito while the two of you comes with us, or even your father, Shikaku?
Shikamaru: Yeah I guess so.
Narrator: With that said the Hokage progressed to say:
Hokage: “Now that you all know what to do, you can dismiss. We`re leaving the village in three days, so be sure to be at the East gate then to say your goodbyes. Oh! And before I forget, Konohamaru will be in charge while I`m gone and Kakashi second in command as I previously said.”
Konohamaru: What?! Are you serious? But, but...
Narrator: The Hokage approached him and put his hand on his shoulder.
Hokage: You will do fine, I believe in you. Didn`t you once wanted to become a Hokage too? Now`s your chance to try it.
Konohamaru: Yeah I was your rival wasn’t I? Alright, I`ll do what I can.
Hokage: Good. If you get any troubles or need anything, you can always ask Kakashi or Shikaku for help.
Narrator: With that said the ones attending the meeting slowly started to leave. Only the Hokage and his son were left.
Jiraiya: Dad can I talk to you?
Hokage: Yeah sure son. Is it about the present?
Jiraiya: No, as I said earlier this day, I`m not just a kid anymore. I`m a Jounin and I don`t expect that many presents now and days.
Hokage: So who haven`t given you a present out of those you expect one from yet?
Jiraiya: Only you. But why do you ask?
Hokage: No particular reason. But you are looking forward to it right?
Jiraiya: Yeah I guess so. So what is it?
Hokage: It`s not really a thing. That`s why you haven`t got my present already.
Jiraiya: So if you`re not planning on giving me something, then what?
Hokage: I`m going to teach you something. Something that I learned when I was around the same age as you.
Jiraiya: Oh? You`re not talking about th...
Hokage: Yes I am son. I believe you`re ready for it.
Jiraiya: Really?! That`s awesome! Thanks dad!
Hokage: Maybe you should wait until we`ve begun your training?
Narrator: He said with a confident smile on his face.
Jiraiya: Sure thing!
Hokage: Unfortunately I won`t be able to teach it to you before I head to the Mist village, because of all the events that have happened recently.
Jiraiya: I understand, no problem. I can`t believe that you`re going to teach me the famous Rasengan!
I`m looking forward to then!
Narrator: You could see that Jiraiya was extremely happy upon hearing that he was going to be taught the Rasengan. The Hokage laugh and said:
Hokage: “Now son, no need to overdo it
”Jiraiya: So that`s why Shikamaru gave me that! So it can help me perfect it?
Hokage: Yeah, that was the plan. But enough about that for now, we`ll talk more about it later when I`m going to teach it to you
Anyway, have you visited your mom at the hospital today?Jiraiya: Yeah I did.
Hokage: So how was she? I hope she`s not worrying too much regarding the events that happened today?
Jiraiya: Not as long as you`re in charge. Anyway, the medical shinobies said they wouldn't take any chances on sending her home considering the fact that she could give birth at any moment.
Hokage: Yeah it was an abnormal day yesterday thinking she was going to give birth then she didn't and she had to stay the night. Hopefully she will give birth before I`m heading out of town?
Jiraiya: Yeah, it was only a matter of one or two days now they said.
Hokage: Let`s check up on her, shall we?
Narrator: The Hokage and his son went down the stairs of the Hokage building when suddenly a medical shinobi came running towards them.
Medical Shinobi: Hokage Sama!!!... Hokage Sama!!! It`s your wife! She`s going to give birth at this very moment!
Hokage: No way! We`ll head there at once!
Narrator: the three of them headed to the hospital in a hurry. They went into the room where she was giving birth.
?: Where`s my husband?!
Medical shinobi: We've already sent for him to come, he will be here at any minute.
Hokage: Hinata! I`m here now so don`t worry, and Jiraiya is here too.
Hinata: I`m glad. At least you won`t miss this birth like you did with the last... Ahhhhhh!
Narrator: she was screaming in pain.
Medical Shinobi: You can do this Hinata, keep pushing.
Narrator: As some minutes went by the time finally come.
Medical Shinobi: Congratulation Hokage Sama, It`s a girl.
Hinata: It`s a girl?... A lovely little girl!
Hokage: Congrats Jiraiya, you`re a big brother now.
Jiraiya: Awesome!.... You did great mom!
Medical Shinobi: Have you decided on a name?
Hokage and Hinata: Yes.
Jiraiya: What is it?
Hinata: Kushina.
Narrator: Three days later, the Hokage and those who were going to attend him to Kirigakure were ready at the East gate. The Hokage was seated in his wagon and several Anbus were set up as escort.
(*Continued*) Sakura, Rock Lee, Shikamaru and his wife were gathered around the wagon, while Tsunade was seated alongside the Hokage.
?: So you`re excited on meeting your brothers in law again?
Narrator: Shikamaru`s wife said to him.
Shikamaru: Not as much as you are I guess, Temari?
Temari: Well I haven`t seen Gaara and Kankuro in a long times now, so it would be great to see them again.
Narrator: They all waved goodbye to those who met up to see them leave, and the Hokage of Konoha was on his move towards the Hidden mist village.
