Great chapter. Very happy Oda confirmed that Big Mom ate them all. Put to rest all people saying "Well CP0 might have...." no she freaking ate them all. It was clearly the obvious conclusion.

We didn't confirm that's how she got the DF power? But to me it makes more since that she ate Mother Caramel and got her power rather the power moving to a fruit after she died. And i feel like Oda would have shown BM eating the DF if that's what happened?

And now it makes complete sense why the Giant's hate BM. She destroyed Elbaf, killed a legendary Giant, than ate the kids and MC, who the Giants loved. It's interesting that they agreed to make a truce with her at all? Wonder if they had something more planned?

And these flashback have absolutely made me understand BM completely. She always wants to throw a Tea Party because she's trying to recreate her happiest memory. And why she gets mad when people who she invites don't show up, because they are tarnishing her memory. And why she has a problem with her kids or other people like Jinbei leaving her crew? Because she has big time abandonment issues.

She's very interesting. I wonder if she ever put together. There can't be more than 1 of the exact same DF? And how DF power moves on to another DF is through death? Because apart of me thinks she believes Mother Caramel is still alive?

And the cook is very interesting. Completely taking advantage of BM and her incredible powers. I feel like this has to end with her knowing the truth? Probably through Pudding?

And I'm thinking this is Capone's Awakening?

So how strong can a castle man be ? With some haki i guess he could withstand a great amount of damage... that'd get them so time to make a new plan


About Big Mom this really makes me want to see her vs Kaido, that'd be awesome!

Her cook is her first nakama, that's unexpected ! If they evolved together i guess he must have some skills too, or has he been carried by her this whole time ? Also she's never really been a bad girl so it must have been him influencing her, the guy is evil...

Also the fact that he said "she'll be back eventually" makes me think he must have seen mother caramel do something, and she wasn't eaten or at least she isn't dead.

My guess about this : she was about to be eaten but transformed into her "soul form", so Big Mom ate her in soul form. Mother caramel didn't want to get digested as a soul and fused with BM's soul.

OR

considering BM's powers awakened later, she probably ate mother caramel and just ate a fruit nearby in the next weeks ?.. it's not very exciting tho


Damn i was afraid this would be a full backstory chapter again but the end of the backstory was beautifully merged with the current action, goda all the way.

So it's pretty much confirmed now that BM gobbled all of them up and that somehow she absorbed Caramel's DF power. Last week I found it odd as to how she couldn't have noticed the latter, but either she's that oblivious or she's in denial.

I find it funny though that the cook has such a long history with BM. A few weeks ago there was a guy bashing on certain characters because he considered them to be a waste of panels and now one of those characters he mentioned suddenly became the first member of BM's pirate crew xd

Where the Vinsmokes at? Did they bail?

They are still sitting at their table, you can see them in one of the panels.

I think this chapter might be good for Capone's crew to put put some life insurance on their captain.

I have this feeling he won't be reaching the finish line.

Oda needs to cut some excess weight and I know he dislikes to kill off characters in the present time line. But we have to get rid of some supernova's right ? There are 11 of them. He was also introduced as an vile and nasty backstabber. We've got a showcasing of his abilities. He might have some redemption in providing an escape later on or something.

Capone has really impressed this arc, his Big father probably has some awesome defenses.

I wonder is this a G4 equivalent for him.

Super pumped about capones ability now. Not going to lie when he was first introduced with the other supernovas his df definitely seemed underwhelming. But now that he can literally make a castle appear out of nowhere he definitely has an awesome and unique power. Still may not be the greatest df but atleast it's a cool concept. Coat that thing in haki and it very well might be an op defense df.

Katakuri's been the mvp on the BM pirates side, don't see Capone's castle holding up for long, and I wonder if the SHs will go into the castle as planned or try some "I'm not running away stunt".
