The fight in the end will become fight between Susanoo, Madara's Susanoo is by far superior to Itachi's.

Edo Itachi is the only version that has a chance to beat MS Madara

If there was a chance of edo madara losing to edo itachi it would be with the help of the 5kages just as long as madara is not inside his perfect susanoo. And i don't want to read bs that he's impossible to had been hit by totsuka at some point when the guy got hit twice by tsunade and onoki.

Itachi has the Yata mirror which is pretty much the ultimate defense. He can also has the Sword of Tsuka that can seal people souls like he did with Nagato. Then He can use the Yaska Magatama like everyone else. He then has water jutsu to counter Madara's fire. Itachi would then go on to also had the ability to trap people in a genjutsu just by pointing a finger at them.
