Can Byakugan users escape genjutsu with closed eyes ??

Killer B wearing glasses and looking at Itachi is the same thing as a Byakugan-wielder seeing through their eyelids. Either way, the target is getting caught.

with Sharingan genjutsu target is caught if they make eye contact this was already established as rule,nothing you or anyone say is gonna change that.

Glass doesn´t hide eyes completely (like shutters do) and Sharingan have better sight that normal eyes so Sharingan seeing eye through glass is understandable

So are you saying the Sharingan can't see through eyelids despite Sasuke showcasing it can bypass skin among other barriers to view blood cells? And despite the glasses being "transparent", it is still a physical object in the way. If both parties can make eye contact, then that's all there is to it.

It sorta looks like a free roaming camera. You would think that you could somehow manipulate this to see the enemy from different angles.

However, the Byakugan also has near 360 degree vision. If the Sharingan is truly able to catch them in a genjutsu through this vision, doesn't that make it hard for Hyuugas to counter it? Can they control their vision the way Neji does and not have to utilize their ~359 degrees view?

So , you mean close their eyes and make a chakra Aura ? Makes sense but has some problems :
A wide range attack (eg : Fireball jutsu) is the main problem : it suddenly enters the whole Aura and can cause heavy damage . The other problem is : Sharingan can see chakra Aura , so it would be easier for the Uchiha to make decisions .

I think it was Gai who suggested to resort into watching the footwork or something, i remember it was back in part I when he arrived as reinforcement to Asuma and Kurenai. Byakugan wielders can then close their eyes and do what Gai said.

Yes very much. I don't quite know where to find it but in part 1 there's a scan where Neji was looking to know his limit and what he did was look 50 metres behind him first before utilizing his 360.. And there's

. In the previous scan, Kakashi asked Hinata to look in the 4 o'clock direction and she does that without turning her head in the direction and using 360. So yes i guess they can manipulate the angles they look from.

The Byakugan is still transmitting the visual signals despite the users' eyes being closed. So, they are caught. Kabuto was literally fighting the Sharingan blind; Itachi had to literally open his lids to transmit the visual signals:

Since the Byakugan isn't blind when the user closes his/hers eyes, they are caught in the Genjutsu. Simple.
