Can Byakugan users escape genjutsu with closed eyes ??

I hear some people saying " Byakugan users can fight Sharingan users with closed eyes.

You must be registered for see images

Itachi clears it : A look is enough . Whenever you look at his sharingan , you'll get caught in genjutsu (No matter you look with closed eyes or open eyes )

Kurenai and Asuma closed their eyes and couldn't look at Itachi's sharingan anymore . If a Byakugan user closes his/her eyes , he/she is still looking and gets caught in genjutsu .

That goes for anyone though (including Sharingan users), aside from Rinnegan as it's ocular powers are immune to visual Genjutsu (according to the databook).

Exactly what I'm saying ... If you close your eyes but you're still looking , you'll get caught .(unless you have Rinnegan or you are a perfect jin .)

Depends if you mean a active byakugan since it can see through walls don't think eye lids would be a big deal.

Also techniques like izanagi and izanami don't rely on you see their eyes

An active Byakugan can see with closed eyes ... But if a Byakugan user fights an Uchiha with eyes closed , still genjutsu works on him. Because he's still looking at his Sharingan .

Nope. They can still see it. Like you've shown, if B's dark sunglasses don't protect him from Genjutsu then a physical barrier is irrelevant if you can still see through it. Another dumb myth that can be laid to rest.

I even wasn't referring to B's sunglasses .
Take a look at that panel : Itachi says "don't look at my eyes" ... What do you get from this sentence ? You get that "if a person looks at his sharingan , he/she will get trapped in Itachi's genjutsu "
And Hyuga fans say "A Byakugan user can close his/her eyes and fight the Uchiha" ... Which makes no sense at all , because they're still looking .
