Yata has been solidified in the books forever and confirmed invincible by an entity that can destroy everything effortlessly. I would imagine that someone capable of 1 shotting the planet should have 100% validity in stating that Yata is invincible.

Titling someone as invincible doesn't mean they're superior to you. Kaguya's praise of invincibility far supersedes Itachi's reference of immortality of Madara's part.

Zetsu/Kaguya are simply referencing the spiritual tool. Clearly he/she/it knew about the weapon just based on "no mistake..." coupled with the fact he knew about Totsuka Blade, and its ability. Even here Black Zetsu/Kaguya refers to Totsuka Blade with the "is said" context, yet we all know it does what it says it does. To be even more thorough on this topic, white zetsu was dumbfounded, yet black zetsu wasn't. Why is that? Because:

Through progression of the manga.. Feats, portrayal and new information provides us with debunking hype. Yata was proclaimed by Kaguya to make itachi invincible. Even Kabuto stated he had the tools to end war. Yata was never disproven

Just read the scan you posted, "Yata is said to", that means that BZ has not seen it in action before.

That is literally, what Kaguya stated. Without Yata Mirror/Totsuka Blade active, Itachi isn't invincible, no one is arguing that he is without the tools. But even without them, he is still Top 10, just with the tools he is #1.
