Before I start I want to make somethinh clear lets avoid bashing and flaming if it is no problem.

There are many things I like about Hinata in Naruto such as these:

- She trains without being forced to it
- She loyal to her friends
- She doesn't insult or beat her friends up
- She has excellent taijutsu skills along with long range abilities
- She didn't need to cheat in the Chuunin exam, that means she smart
- Her byakugan makes her look cool
- Used to give up easy but changed to not giving up

Those are all things that makes her a good character in my opinion.

What do you like about Hinata?

she was the first female character Kishi created...

Sakura was added by the editors...

I wonder how the story would've played out if Kishi had her as the main heroine.

i just wish she had more complex character development.

Only things she went through is getting along with her fam & closer to Naruto

Irregardless I like her especially how she stands up to rinnegans and ootsusukis all alone for those she loves

The fact that she stood up to Madara+Obito+Juubi fearlessly and did not waver when the alliance had lost its spirit.

Meanwhile certain other females forget how to breathe or move.

Considering how she later had Hamura ties and the fact that Kishi planned to pair her with Naruto from the beginning, it would make sense that she be the main heroine over Sakura. Not sure what the editors were thinking.

Honestly with her being a Hyuga and her shy supportive demeanor I think she would have fit the role of team 7's Medic Ninja moreso than Sakura (not hating on Sakura) Sakura's personality seems to fit in more with Kiba and Shino to be honest. also her pairing would have probably felt more natural than a retcon ala The Last, provided Naruto actually showed some romantic interest.

Plus Sakura really didn't have anything going for her apart from getting with Sasuke. With Hinata, her development could have been flushed out with first her rift between her cousin Neji and her father as well as coming to terms with whether or not she wanted to take the mantle of Hyuga household lead.

There was a lot of potential there that could have made her such a great main heroine.

If people don't hate Hinata if she was on team 7 would be a hypocrite. The main reason they hated Sakura was because she was all about Sasuke. With Hinata it would be the same except way worse. Adding in the fact she would still be useless and in the shadows of Naruto and Sasuke.

Nothing. She's just another Orihime. Don't dislike her but don't like her either.

Have you read bleach? Comparing any female in shonen to Orihime is a insult.

I mean I don't dislike her, but Orihime is the Prime example of not how to write a female. She makes Kagome well written.
