Neither Sakura nor Obito expected acid to start pouring out and by the time they realized what was happening, the acid had already started to pour out. The portal was only about 3 m away from them and by the time the acid started pouring out, the distance between the acid and the duo was only 2 m. At this point, Sakura didn't even have her hands on Obito but she managed to grab him, turn around and leap out of the way all the while only getting grazed by the acid. She performed multiple tasks in a split second which gives her nice reaction.

No, he landed after Lee blocked his attack on Gai, THEN Neji attacked: After Kisame landed and while Gai/Lee were still airborne. So he was combating no one when Neji struck.
