[Discussion] Should Oda start a side-story of Shanks in a separated manga?

Do you think Oda can do it? Or his current health doesn't allow him to do so? From the day Shanks met Roger first time ---------> until Shanks' last moment in the current original story. I believe we heard that Oda would quit or something like that after he finishes ONE PIECE. It would be unfortunate if we never learned full details of Shanks' life.

And tbh I dont want anything beyond the one manga to be the canon of OP because when the milking starts other authors get involved if not right away than somewhere down the road, not to mention it can all become a cluster!!ck if you try to involve side stories

Not a serious illness, but his health isn't like how he was in his 30s. Few years ago he did a tumor removal operation. It succeeded. It just became almost like a trend that surprisingly there is a break all sudden. He sure did work hard and deserved it. Unlike Togashi (Hunter X Hunter). But despite all that I wish a separated ONE PIECE manga focusing on Shanks. I wouldn't mind if there is other author than Oda, but at least Oda could supervise it. It's worth a shot.
