Yuuuup.

Neither Goten or Trunks are the types for airs and graces, but Gotenks refers to himself as Gotenks-sama (Lord Gotenks). The fused being shares traits of both people though.

they share personality traits. But for vegito vegeta is the dominant one given his cockyness and agression, and gogeta has goku (at least in gt) and the dominant given his playfulness and goofiness.

i would say its according to their strenght. so if goku has 100% and vegeta is compared to him like 90% then the fused char has the ratio of 10:9 in gokus favour.

They become a whole new person with traits from both, so there is no Goku or Vegeta anymore as single beings.

However for Vegito, Vegeta's personality part is more dominant than Goku's and for Gogeta Goku's personality part is more dominant than Vegeta's.
As in the mix of the new person leans a bit more to Vegeta with Vegito and a bit more to Goku with Gogeta.

They maintain memories of the fusion though and the fusion has memories of the people who fused.
