There reason they keep having goku go ssb over and over and over again is because they're going to have him get a new form so they Decided to Nerf it for the meanwhile which means enough complaining about power scaling it's only temporary.

That's been pretty much the case for every new form Goku obtained, why people are complaining about the over usage of ssj blue is beyond me. How else is dragon ball super suppose to expand in terms of power scaling if super saiyan blue is always the highest bar?

That usually happens between arcs or during time skips where general training or lack of training is implied, but I guess training in his base form is still a valid option.
