Dumbest thing I've ever read. The cause of it makes no sense. Indra wasn't chosen as the heir, big whoop, I doubt he loved the title of Ninshuu leader more than his father and brother. The Sharingan is supposed to be triggered by severe loss, not from being a brat that doesn't get what they want.

I think Kishimoto was afraid to give good reasoning for the actions of the Uchiha's within the show which are hard for the average person to reasonably deduce without being told what's right and wrong.
