The manga added a lot of extra details as well as completely changed Momoshiki's transformed design. Most importantly the aftermath of the battle was completely changed to include new scenes introducing crucial plot points like Boruto's ability to see ghosts and the marking on his hand.

If they just skip ahead to the revised ending of the battle where Boruto encounters Momoshiki's ghost not only will people who haven't seen the movie be lost but people who have seen the movie but not read the manga version will be confused as to what changed and why.

My suggestion is they re-do the movie based on the manga adaption and use this as an opportunity to milk the Chunnin exams for filler, like showing the other students battles which will be more interesting now that we know more about them.

eventually the Anime will pass the Manga in content seeing as the anime is weekly while the Manga is monthly

to wait for the manga to push out more content and instead opt for filler to fill the gaps is another option as well but I feel that the anime will be the main source for Boruto content

Actually, Boruto's ability to see chakra/ghosts/whatever is not related to Momo's power-up, since he has it pre-Power Up in the current arc.

However, he probably needs the chakra from Momo's power-up to keep the eye active, based on the intro where he reveals his eye after activating that "Curse Mark" pattern. So they're related, but the Doujutsu originated from Boruto's Hyuga genes.

No child, it will not take 2 or 3 episodes. There are three factors here that are working against all of our best interests in that matter:

• First, if DBS is any indicator of how a modern/popular anime will handle a movie adaptation then we are about to be taken for the ride of our lives lmao
• Second, if the Boruto manga took 10(ish) chapters to recap the movie—and if we're assuming roughly 1 chapter will be the equivalent of 1 episode, since traditionally 3 weekly chapters filled a single episode—then that's an indicator that at best we're looking at around 10 episodes
• Finally, do not let the quality of the animation fool you; this is still SP—the king of milking something for all that it's worth.

As for the OP; yes, while most people will kick their feet and protest, the anime will without a moments doubt be animating the movie recap. The anime is based on the manga, and (again, despite the fact that people wrongfully kicked their feet) the manga did infact adapt the film into it's own canon. Just as it would make absolutely no sense on several levels for the manga to leave the movie out from itself, the anime would just as well make absolutely no sense on several levels to not animate the movie.
