Am I the only one who loved it when characters took nearly two arcs to learn jutsu? or when character weren't mastering what their parents took years to master in like a few chapters and episodes, like for a hardcore Naruto fan seeing characters I've grown to love to be replaced by mundane, over-hyped kids is sad and is the reason I don't follow Boruto much.:hyper:

No such thing as "over-achieving" lmao. Naruto is the only character who took time to learn jutsu and he did in a week what took Minato three years (of course, he was creating from scratch basically). The whole theme of Naruto and other anime is surpassing your parents, or teachers, or friends etc.. so its not really a big deal, change is change.

BUT, I do agree with you in terms of Boruto already knowing how to do the summoning jutsu and create shadow clones at like, 6 or something.

the last episode was full of bullcrap. Boruto has just performed the summoning technique out of SP ass without a proper preparation. he didn't sign a contract or even learned the technique and in the end, he managed to summon a monster ?! and to win a stupid challenge ?! WTF?

You clearly missed the giant point in Naruto about the new generation surpassing the previous. The fact they're able to do stuff so much quicker relative to their parents is a testament to that statement.

It wasn't a normal summons though, the real monster wasn't summoned, they showed that huh? DEFINITELY an asspull or whatever though. ( he did know the hand signs though)

In the lab room, there was tons of summoning scrolls prepared for the next generation to utilize so that they could summon (as in practice).

They thought it would have been a good strategy since the girls find frogs, snakes, spiders, etc. to be "scary"

OT: It happens

Summoning isn't that hard of a jutsu to learn. What most people forget is that Jiraiya asked naruto to summon Gamabunta, which was a difficult task and at first required him to use Kurama chakra. Boruto took a random scroll out of a room, so no telling what Boruto actually contracted with. Later in the episode you see he contracted with something that has a snake tail.

but yeah OP I kind of agree with what you are saying but I also wouldn't want them to drag out the process of them achieving those old things since we've already seen it in Naruto.

I mean literally If I had to watch them learn how to climb trees again or go through tons of training doing the same routines that I've seen over and over again via manga, ova, anime, flashbacks and amvs then I am going to completely drop this series.

I've already watched Naruto and I don't want a complete rehash all over again.

Same goes for those that want these kids to go through the same suffering as the past via the same exact scenarios. It HAS BEEN DONE ALREADY.

I did a thread a few weeks back on ways to try and approach this series with new content and new goals.
