I honestly can't think of one time Shurikenjutsu changed the outcome of a fight other than the first encounter with Zabuza and, arguably, Sasuke versus Orochimaru in the Forest of Death.

He knows using them as simplistic as just to kill is futile against strong foes, so what he did is use them to incorporate with his jutsus and every time he successfully pulled off his technique or to use the weapons to take advantage of opponent weaknesses like nagato lol

Metal Lee took out their shurikens earlier like it was nothing, then he saw the group of girls, got scared, and Sarada solod him.

I felt kind of sorry for Metal Lee, but when he's nervous, he even solos himself.

I expected more after last week's episodes tbh

None of these had any big effect on the fight. Both Sasuke and Bee blocked them fairly easily and things went on. I'll give it to you, he did make a diference against Nagato though.

Sarada can' t be compared to kid Itachi, even in the shuriken mastery.
Sarada was about to be killed by a very weak fodder in the manga because of her arrogance...Shame on her.
We never saw Itachi in those kind of situations.He thought like a hokage at the age of 7, Sarada just doesn' t compare.

A genius is leagues above his classmates.
She certainly isn' t a genius in shuriken mastery and even in any category.
