i just rewatched some clips from the movie surrounding Boruto. and Damn as if he's someone else compared to his anime self.

in the movie Boruto is more spoiled and selfish , idk he looks different in character, in the anime he looks calm and collected and he doesn't look spoiled and naggy like in the movie.

It seems kishi decided to change his personality.

To know what am talking about watch the movie and then watch the first 4 episodes there's a clear difference in character between the 2

Boruto was dealing with daddy issues in the film. Boruto anime, Boruto's focus is on school.

When Boruto focuses on daddy issues he'll come across as a brat unless Naruto did something bad, like ignore him infront of his face or something.

BUT at the same time, Kishimoto isn't writing this, nor is Ukyo. In fact I think we have new writers each week.

Which is probably why their characters are inconsistent. I prefer Kishimoto over SP tbh

Writes don't want you to focus on his personality, but on power-up.

FOCUS ON POWER-UPS!

Why focus on character development when you can get free power ups anytime because: MC no jutsu.

One of these focuses on his school life, one of them focuses on the relationship with his dad. Well written characters tend to have more than one side to them, changing depending on the dynamics of the different people they interact with while retaining some of their core personality into it. That's what writing a good character is about.

I really wouldn't have a problem with it if they would've given him this weird doujutsu from the start. Now it's like he'll have this doujutsu an his team will probably have abilities that they didn't have before the movie chuunin exams when he meets Momo for the first time, IN THE CHUUNIN EXAMS.

YEEAAA!..

Why would kishi say "I Plan to make it better than Naruto" but then he's not writing it or supervising it? Plus it's already confirmed Kishimoto and Ukyo are involved in Boruto anime although Ukyo the manga writer is more involved than Kishi . But oh well Kishi is entrusting the new generation to Ukyo with the manga and anime . So we can consider it canon . Anyway no the 4 episodes didn't change Boruto's personality in each one . His personality is the same in all of them . I'm just saying that the movie Boruto has a different feel to him .

True. It's gonna get to daddy issues soon enough.

Because kishis not nearly as involved as you think, he probably just said that to avoid inevitable fan backlash if he announced he wasn't involved much at all. It's kinda foolish to take his comment at face value after him saying it'll be nice to take a break after naruto ended, and how it's nice to not have the weekly pressure anymore. Imo he's not really involved at all other than the occasional "that's ok"

It's inconsistent because of how unplanned everything was. It was supposed to end with the movie, hence why Momoshiki and Kinshiki were killed off, but the manga comes and the anime starts 1 month after the recap is done.
