I don't think Kakashi has a sealing jutsu to stop Edo Tensei so Edo Asuma would win eventually. Against an alive Asuma, Kakashi should beat him as he can make him in CQC and likely come out on top, can beat Asuma in the range, has clones to help overwhelm Asuma and feint him, Genjutsu to gain an edge, etc. Kakashi is just better in every way and Asuma can't keep up for long

Give Kakashi a Sealing Tag and he beats Edo Asuma.

3T Kakashi beats alive Asuma pretty easily.

DB states Asuma is Jonin's best CQC fighter, which includes Kakashi. Add the fact that they have pretty even combat stats, while Asuma has element advantage for Close Quarters. Any logical or reasonable person can come to the conclusion that in no way in hell does Kakashi beat this guy easy.

DB states Asuma is the best CQC fighter out of the Jonin yet Base (let alone Gated) Gai has superior feats against superior individuals. Yet Kakashi has superior feats against the same Hidan that Asuma fought. Asuma got scratched within 10 seconds of their fight beginning, however Kakashi clashed with Hidan multiple times and never got a scratch.

DB only stated that he had the "foremost skill" in close range combat. Not that he's the best CQC fighter. Base Gai and Kakashi have done better than him against the same or better opponents.

You have to take into account Kakashi had intel not to get scratched. He was actively avoiding Hidan.
Then you also have to take into account Hidan was handicapped because his cord was broken, that's his primary way of fighting.

Though the reason it balances out is because Asuma had Shikamaru fighting with him.

@OP

It'll be a mid diff fight. No more than that.

I actually didn't know this, but I agree that Shikamaru's help evens things out.

If you wanna look at it further both hidan and kakuzu consider the skirmishes they had with kakashi as combo's

"Lets go with the usual":
You must be registered for see images

You were the first to survive this routine how about the next one:
You must be registered for see images

"You're pretty good"(lol metal gear)

"Their teamwork... so smooth... so seamless."

You must be registered for see images

So one would have to ask what's more effective/ a greater threat?

Hidan with his chain scythe?
Or hidan working seamlessly with kakuzu's masks?

Just my 2 cents

OT: kakashi low diffs his ass.

Foemost means of first rank or position. So my point doesnt change.

Base Guy never outperformed Asuma.
We already witness Kakashi's performance against a nerfed Hidan. So I have no reason to believe such thing of doing better.

How exactly does things evens out for Kakashi? Hidan being nerf means he was nerfed, simple. Thats Hidan's credit besting Konoha's foremost skill CQC fighter with support. .

"A targeted attack refers to a type of threat in which threat actors actively pursue and compromise a target entity's infrastructure while maintaining anonymity. These attackers have a certain level of expertise and have sufficient resources to conduct their schemes over a long-term period."

Kakashi didnt have to face that. He had to face other combo's Hidan was only capable of then, with emphasis on the Sharingan being the key match up of keeping up.

You have a point, Asuma was actively pursuing Hidan but due to Hidan's proficiency with his close-mid range style, his CQC was ineffective.

On the other hand though, Shikamaru attacking simultaneously is too much help to not be able to take advantage of. You can't just randomly ignore such a big point. I don't see Kakashi falling so easily in that situation, though he will get scratched sooner or later without intel, but that was done extremely fast. That fight ended before it even started even while Hidan was dodging shadows.

Kakashi barely got hit by an Atsugai assault with Hidan right there. His sharingan provides him a massive advantage.

IIRC Asuma was said to be the best in CQC with a weapon, in others words in CQC he is the most proficient in Konoha with a weapon. Give Kakashi a weapon, give Asuma the same weapon and Asuma will be better at using it more times than not, that's what that means to me.

Overall yes I agree Kakashi isn't low diffing or anything as long as Asuma is within range his hien is dangerous, and he's already shown in part 1 he can get the better of even Kisame in CQC.

Anything more than mid diff however is a no. Kakashi has too much in his arsenal, Asuma is much too linear in comparison.

I never ignored it. I stated for someone (Asuma) that can best another character in a certain field (Kakashi) if Hidan's credit, not Kakashi's. I dont see Kakashi falling as easily either, since Kakashi fights differently. But put him in the same situation along with Shikimaru's help will be the same effected result.

Correct.

The context fits and makes sense. Still doesnt change the fact that this is the field this match up will be using to face each other. The better one will eventually come up top.

And I think even mid diff is pushing it based on match up. Kakashi's moveset finishers that we seen is him using Raiton base attacks, via Raikiri and its forms, or clones. But Kakashi is facing someone who using Futon to support his CQC so that neutralizes his most effected way to win.

Hidan having his schyte's rope against Kakashi is very often overlooked, despite being a pretty important factor.

Kakashi wins.
