If the Part 1 Naruto generation came to blows against the Bortuo Generation, who would come out of top?

Since the Boruto generation has only gone as far as the first Chunin Exam, we have a good space to compare like with like.

Actually, Lee should be better than Chunin Exams Sasuke. Technically they're the same speed and style, yeah, but Lee has the gates to fall on, so...

Still, I'd think Sasuke's speed and superior skill with the Sharingan would prevent him from getting caught by Sarada, who just lacks the feats needed to land a hit on him. Sure, she could just "Shanaroo" the ground, but the results would be minimal, Sasuke would recover before she got another chance to hit him.

As for Mitsuki and Naruto...well, Mitsuki blitzed Orochimaru while Kyuubi Chakra Naruto got subdued and had his chakra sealed off by the very same. Not much of a fight.

Mitsuki was so fast in SM that Orochimaru couldn't see him moving. SM Mitsuki > 1% of Kurama's chakra used by Naruto

That was before Jiraiya had Naruto unlock more of the seal and have Naruto ask Kurama for more chakra to use. The kyubi cloak and later 1-tailed fight were Naruto using more of Kurama's chakra at his own command.

I don't think the comparisons are fair just yet. We have seen the battles in part 1 CE in detais. Not to mention, those characters (especially Naruto and Sasuke) had feats even before the CE began. Meanwhile, the CE in Boruto was mostly off-panel, we did not get the chance to see the characters abilities (or their opponents), but we only got to know who won the battle. So, naturally, team 7 will have the advantage here.

Mitsuki may have SM, he can use it for few seconds? Even then, it was only when he was put under a lot of pressure. Where at that point, Naruto can use part of Kurama's power freely, so I think Naruto is the winner there.

likewise with Sasuke and Sarada. Sasuke has 2T Sharingan, 2 elements, speed, and so on. Where Sarada only has 1T sharingan and her punches. I don't see her winning this one either.

Boruto however trashes Sakura.

I don't really get how Mitsuki destroys Naruto when he has only shown to hold Sage Mode for about one second, hasn't been shown to use it consistently, nor has any form of mastery over it thus far. Naruto would simply heal from what-ever attack Mitsuki would throw at him, and the match would pretty much end there.

Obviously Sarada is no match for Sasuke. And Sakura is not even worth 1% of Boruto's skill, his academy version wrecks any version of her up until Part 2, which is hilarious.

Doesn't matter. The difference here in between the two of them is too large to be covered by such a small detail, especially when you account for Orochimaru's own power boosts since then.
