How can Boruto simply inherit the ability to sense malicious intent, that was not something Naruto had due to lineage, which he could pass down, but it was an ability that he gained from becoming a perfect Kurama Jinchuriki, which Boruto is not. So that is crap. Also, Sasuke has the closest thing to pure otsutsuki chakra, being that he is a reincarnation of Indra, and the uchiha had the power of the sages spiritual energy, or chakra.

At this point there is only two logical theories to all this.

1) The eye is a result of Hamura/Hagoromo bloodlines mixing.

2) The eye is purely from Hinata's side and is a result of her Byakugan DNA and Ootsutsuki Chakra.
