I don't see why Sasori couldn't reatach the threads? Even if they get cut he can reattach them just like we saw it happen a million times. Threads aren't something expendable, they're the user's chakra. So long as Sasori has chakra, he can keep reattaching them.
yes I agree, but cutting the threads would give Neji some advantage, since the puppets would be disabled for moment then he can destroy them with Rotation before Sasori manage to reattach them.
And I don't think the rotate-dodge-rotate combo would work. We're not talking Storm game where the AI just does the same things over and over. When dodging, you're put in the disadvantage, your enemy is dictating your movements and given the huge amount of weapons Sasori controls synonimusly he could put Neji into a check mate position. One possible scenario would be get him mid-air (which we know will happen with every anime dodge ever) and put a coat of iron sand to the bottom of the trajectory to which Neji would land. Alternatively, he could just wait for the moment when Neji's rotation runs out and attack from all sides in that instant - something noone can avoid unless they can teleport or slip through things.
one thing you forgot about that combo, and that each time Neji perform a Rotation he would take down a considerable amount of puppets (since the Rotation would be huge and destructive), meaning he would lesser Sasori's amount of fire-power each time he rotate.
however I agree. repeating the same thing over and over would definitely put Neji in a disadvantage, however Neji had many cards to play and not just that combo, he can use ShunShin to evade, and Air Palm to strike from a distance, and he has the Byakugan (long range X Ray 360 degree of vision) which would help him in detecting all of Sasori attacks and give him a better chance to react to them, he can even find his way through the puppets to reach Sasori just like how he did with Naruto [

but ofc walking through deadly puppets would be much much harder than walking through clones. but Neji can pull it off with Rotation, ShunShin, Cutting the threads, Air palm, Byakugan, and he has shown a great reflexes in his fight with Kidomaru
and one thing I want to mention, that Neji doesn't need to spin to block the attacks. he can easily block the minor attacks (like the needles, daggers.. etc) by just emitting Chakra alone.

you see here as explained by Tenten, the user of this Jutsu release a large amount of Chakra to block, then spin to blast the attacks back. so he can just emit Chakra to block Saori attacks. just like how he released a thin layer of Chakra on his chin to block Naruto's double punch [

], [

]. he can just release a thicker layer of Chakra for Sasori's attacks to block it. but ofc he would need to spin and perform a full Rotation in order to repel Sasori's lethal attacks like the Iron sand.
and @bold Neji would perform Rotation when Sasori attack, when Sasori stop firing, Neji stop Rotating, and when Sosori start firing Neji start Rotating. and in worst scenarios Neji can block or slow down the attacks by just emmiting Chakra.
As for Kazekage, Iron Sand isn't a one shot thing. Even if Neji fends off one blow, the sand doesn't get destroyed, it simply strikes back. That's what makes it so deadly in the first place. Also you need to take into account the poison gas of that puppet and it's 1000 arms. That's a lot of attacks and I'll say it again, even the slightest one connecting is enough. We have no reason to think Neji could dodge all the things thrown and this is irrelevant of whether Sasori knows about the blind spot or not. (Even Kidomaru learned about it only after he managed to land a blow.)
Again, Iron Sand isn't a one-shot thing. He can keep attacking with it and distribute it evenly for the right moment when Neji's rotation is running out
if Iron Sand strikes back, it would just get repelled again, the Iron Sand isn't strong enough to break through Rotation. and in case Neji couldn't spin, then he can just dodge it. and the Gas would get dispersed by the spinning of Rotation. and the rest of attacks can be blocked or dodged.
and all Neji need to do is to get near the Kazekage puppet to destroy it, either via Rotation or Air Palm, and if the KazeKage puppet is down then I think Neji might take this
The point is that you shouldn't just assume Neji could keep repeating the same thing while Sasori blindly uses the same moves. Those puppets are incredibly versatile and Sasori won't just barge into a rotation. People tend to forget that the only reason Chiyo and Sakura managed to dodge them so well was because they were masterful dodgers (or atleast Chiyo was).
That's assuming Neji could get close which I don't at all think he could do easily. The only reason Sakura managed to destroy it was because Chiyo helped her dodge those needles - again dodging skill level which Neji just doesn't have. The hyuuga are hand to hand combatants, when it comes to slipping projectiles their bet is rotation, but again, you can't move under rotation nor can you see what's going on that well. (Already a huge down-side as you have a still target to which you can slip a lot of things.)
And no, I highly doubt an air palm would be enough to destroy his heart considering how he can simply dodge it and I don't even think the damage would be that great. Air palm isn't a killer jutsu and his heart isn't a normal one.
the air palm is a fast and forceful strike, and we know that anything can be destroyed with enough force. and the strike was forceful enough to blow Kisame meters away and he needed to stable himself with the sword [

], and the reason that Kisame tanked it was because he had an insane durability while Sasori's puppets don't have any durability feats. so he can use air palm to destroy puppets with air palm
and about the heart, well I am not really sure. is it durable ?
But that's the thing, Sasori doesn't fight close range. His fighting style is move away and release hellfire on your enemy. As for mid, I believe Sasori can fly with those chainsaws so I don't think getting out range would be a problem.
.
well my point was about the starting if it is close then Neji can take this with Shunshin followed up by Air Palm. but if Saori managed to evade and summon and fly with Iron Sand, then it is GG. however if Neji has Intel then he would try to prevent him from doing that.
anyway the chances of Neji winning this is low, since even the slightest scratch from Sasori's attacks would be enough. the point of my argument is that Neji still has a chance if he played his cards right, and even if he didn't manage to win he would at least give Sasori a hell of a fight

Not considerable, 5 at most (to block all possible directions in which he could dodge). A minimum of 20 very powerful (since he needs to destroy them, not just throw them back) rotations right there, and I have no reason to believe his chakra reserves will be great after this.

Nah, that emission is a composite part of rotation (just like how creating small whirlwinds of chakra is a composite part of making a rasengan) it's not something that functions on it's own. Could Neji emit chakra to repel something? Yeah, we saw him get rid of the webs. Can he do it do repel projectiles coming at him? I say no because:
1) we never saw him do it
2) he didn't resort to it even in most dire situations (Kidomaru fight - rotation wasn't working since webs coiled around him, but if he could vertically push them away, that would've helped him)
I don't think that chakra emission in and of itself is capable of repelling anything solid with fair velocity. It's just a starting part of rotation (which is why in those very scans we only see him emit chakra a moment before going full rotation).
and @bold Neji would perform Rotation when Sasori attack, when Sasori stop firing, Neji stop Rotating, and when Sosori start firing Neji start Rotating. and in worst scenarios Neji can block or slow down the attacks by just emmiting Chakra.
Eh, fights don't work that way man. Anyway, I'm talking about Neji running out of rotation (he can only spin for a short period of time) and then finding himself generally pushed into a checkmate position (the iron sand trap was just the first generic "gotcha" anime moment - I draw comics and animate myself so I am familiar with coreographies to an extent).
if Iron Sand strikes back, it would just get repelled again, the Iron Sand isn't strong enough to break through Rotation. and in case Neji couldn't spin, then he can just dodge it. and the Gas would get dispersed by the spinning of Rotation. and the rest of attacks can be blocked or dodged.

Why think the Sand isn't strong enough? That thing can get denser than Gara's sand (cuz Iron, duh). Who's to say that if thrown with enough speed it won't withstand Neji's rotation? If nothing else, Sasori can make a cube out of it (he used to make cubes and triangles for pointed attacks and those of brute crippling) and squash Neji with it. This one is actually a good idea since it disables dodging after Kaiten runs out.

Blowing away =/= internal damage. If it were a cutting attack like Temari's wind? Yea, that'd be a problem. But a pure force of air.. nah no serious damage there. Atleast not to a part like his heart which is tightly kept in the body of a puppet.

Well, idk really. Neji was completely forgotten so we only got feats from part 1 and a glimpse of his improvements. We're supposed to fill in the blanks but given how fighting mangas are we have no idea how Sasori would approach such a match up anyway.
Velp, I don't really have much else to add. Been an alright back and forth but it's time to bring it to a close. Take the last word if you wish.
So that leads you to believe that he can give a good or decent fight to them? No. If all he can do is rotate to survive (which is exactly what will occur here) then he's not giving anyone a decent fight. And in Kakuzu's case it should be pretty clear Neji gets wrecked by someone who can pressure Kakashi + Team 10.
That's after the ritual is performed. Prior to the he still feels pain. Also, him being immortal doesn't mean his body won't take on any of the effects.

Did I say he'd give a good fight to anyone other than Hidan in my post? No, so don't know why you brought that up. A decent fight entails mid diff at most, not high diff. Rotation isn't the only thing he's going to spam. Ino-Shika-Cho could react to his wide scale attacks. Raiton gian and threads were too fast for them but given Neji's ability to react to Kidomaru's arrows during PTS, post time skip he easily sidestep raiton gian. Threads don't even need rotation to counter, full body blow is enough. Not to mention gentle fist can flow through them if he makes that mistake which would cause Kakuzu to lose a heart if that happens.
I think Draegod was right about you, you seem to have a superficial understanding of what the Hyuuga can do.

And I clearly said he doesn't give a GOOD or a DECENT fight to Kakuzu. :lol Jesus just read before you respond.
Ino Shika and Cho reacted to his wide scaled attacks from 10-15 meters away. Will Neji be blitzed by them? No. Of course not. Will he be dodging all these attacks when Kakuzu is actually in his face? Uh, yeah not a chance. Not sure how reacting to Kidomaru's Arrows from over 50 meters away translates to him easily side stepping Gian in close range combat. Where did you draw the comparison that Kidomaru's Arrows were that much faster than Gian? Threads part is irrelevant because it's pretty obvious that this course of action wouldn't work nor would Kakuzu even try it after seeing Rotation, assuming he doesn't already know about it.
This is not a mid diff fight. Mid diff warrants that Neji can actually do something to Kakuzu, which he can't. He gets wrecked. Feats say so, and blatant portrayal of this man's power say so. Someone who can pressure Team 10 + Kakashi doesn't get pushed against the likes of Neji. Not in the slightest.
Lol the guy who regularly destroys the center (center as in key focus) of the chakra system (the heart) clearly doesn't have much back-lash from damaging his chakra points.
