1) Gaara saved the village at the cost of his life

2) Deidara wasn't properly prepared


however Gaara using his sand to save the village ultimately left him open for a critical counter attack. if gaara used that sand on offense the fight would have finished

Yes Gaara can create a desert with the right conditions however Kisame can create an ocean at will regardless of conditions

He isn't beating Nagato and Obito no matter the location. Itachi is debatable in a desert, but Gaara still needs full intel and a good starting distance.

He is also not beating Kisame in a neutral area.

No-Low diff: Zetsu, Hidan, Konan

Mid-High diff: Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu

High+: 1 MS Obito, Kisame, and 6POP/Nagato

I've no idea why people deny the claim that 6POP < Gaara, based solely off of CT. CT can be avoided by staying out of range... I mean when have we seen a character who has the fastest aerial capabilities in manga sucked into CT before? Never. And are people forgetting CT requires the user to first eject a chakra sphere so the technique can work? It isn't just CT, GG. It's not that simple, not for Gaara anyways.

Kisame vs Gaara is my most hated match-up simply due to the fact neither can really hurt each other lmfao, though in the end it's clear Gaara has the advantage thus, Gaara wins as Kisame has no way of hitting him, while Kisame can just be spammed by sand techniques till eventually Gaara crushes a limb, or catches him off guard when he isn't using subterranean voyage etc.

If it's just one MS Obito, Gaara should be able to take him. Intangibility does nothing here, if Gaara just spams wave after wave. I'm sure everyone knows that... If it's double MS Obito he Kamui snipes him, and it's a neg diff.

I think Gaara can push Itachi, but all Itachi needs is one crow, and it's GG. Tsukuyomi crow gg. KA crow gg. Izanami crow gg.

Nagato's only way of harming Gaara is Deva path. CT can be avoided.

Obito with one MS is useless vs sand spam. Intangible for xx minutes, then he eventually dies. Double MS Obito shits though.

Gaara > Kisame just based on the fact Kisame has no sure way of injuring an aerial opponent like him. But it's a stalemate battle tbh.

I find Itachi harder to defeat for Gaara than Nagato/6POP just based on the fact Itachi has so many one shot techniques that can be incorporated into his crows/crow clones, and his illusions can affect Gaara's third eye. Nagato's only real threat to Gaara is Deva. The rest are pretty useless outside of animal path which isn't doing much here.

One MS Obito isn't shit here because he has nothing outside of a 10 minute intangibility, which is countered by 10 minutes of sand spam. Double MS Obito > Gaara though if Kamui sniped.

In this mode couldn't Kisame just swim around(Since the water follows him) and drown gaara?

Kisame is much faster in water and Gaara's sand i imagine would be much slower. So in essence Kisame could circle gaara while he remains in his sphere till he drowns
