Based on what they said the system hardware wise can rival the rx 480, but due to console optimization its closer to that of the gtx 1070.

Lmao in 2 years both Sony and Microsoft will release another upgraded version of their consoles just to cash in even more money. Why don't buy a desktop pc instead? Atleast you can change the components whenever you want.

not quite. Its wayy too soon to start the next generation. We're gonna be with the ps4(pro) and Xbox 1 (scorpio) for at least another 4 years bringing total generation to 8.

This wasn't directed at him specifically. What I meant was instead of being forced to buy another console, I'd rather buy a pc for 400-500 US dollars, which I can upgrade anytime without having to spend too much money just to be able to enjoy prettier visuals.
Of course you have awesome titles for both the Ps4 and Xboxone, but asking players who already own either of them to buy their upgraded version sounds like cash grabbing to me.
People that don't own a console will obviously pleased with these. Don't get me wrong.

People over in the pc space (had they watched the video, based on the comments i'm not too sure they had), should be ecstatic about this. With dx12 support at a hardware level and not just an api means DX12 games optimized for the Xbox scorpio will blowback and perform better on the Pc.

Competition is always healthy, and stronger consoles means better looking and playing games all round.

again, sony can't just drop the ps5 months after the ps4 pro being released as a mid refresh, it would be a slap in the face of their consumers, and we say what happens when you piss of the consumer. I.e. the original xbox 1. Ps5 and xbox's next projects will be beasts if they're aiming for 4k now (only enthusiast class gpu hit 4k 60 now) then chances are by time (wishful thinking) thinks will be 4k 60. and hopefully that's the end. but seeing as how dell is already making 8k monitors.... i think not. Technology continues to march on.

Sure. No hustle. Sony is doing fine with PS4Pro. The only thing that prevents me from buying PS4Pro is that they brought back the eject button for disks. I like the sensor idea to eject the disk from the console and turn on console. PS4 specs difference between base and pro aren't even worth mention. However, good luck for Scorpio. Although I don't see it to succeed over PS4/PS4Pro. When PS5 comes it will crush it and Nintendo too. I'm not saying this out of fanboism. It's just that a company like Sony lately learned to do things right.

im not too sure, them not having a UHD blu ray player in their premium system was a bad move. But i can't blame them because they... literally didn't have a UHD blu ray player period, on the market or otherwise. Outsourcing to samsung would have push the price point up on the system from 400. And the 1s and the scorpio having it is just another thing for microsoft to lord over their heads. but with no exclusives it brings the question of is power everything.

Yeah, it all depends on the library of games Scorpio to offer. But game developers fear that they won't sell well on Scorpio.
