I love Shino but zero of them bar Hidan. Hidan gets matched poorly here and Shino isn't a close-range fighter meaning he's unlikely to rush in without an ace up his sleeve or a trap waiting.

Good post and I did think of the broken bug summoning but if Shino has the luxury of getting close to Hidan to use that jutsu then Hidan is close enough to get his swipe too. Hidan is much more agile/faster so Shino should stick to his long-range.

Great point on the poison but that's still probably him being inert for 5 minutes, hell- 5 seconds is all it'd take for a puppet to swoop in and finish the match.

He beats Hidan, everybody else is off the table unless we see more Adult Shino feats honestly.

Konan? If his bugs can eat paper, sure, but if not he gets demolished and I only recall him developing flesh eating bugs. Konan's body isn't flesh when she is using her Ninjutsu, and she can generate large amounts of explosive tags from her body at a whim.

There's no way he's beating Sasori and as for Hidan, he'll have to rely on long-range because he has to physically touch his target to transfer the kidaichu. With a taijutsu score of 1.5, getting close to a close-range specialist like Hidan (4.5) ain't happening.

Hidan gets ate up. DB states Shino used an insect clone to transfer the Kidaichū into the Jubi clone, so a clone feint filled with Kidaichū, baiting Hidan to cut through it seals his fate.

So some clarifications. I think the treatment line means, infecting them with the bugs is difficult, because they have to be stored in the users body (or a Bushins). On the Bushin line I think that simply means Shino used a Bushin to administer to bugs against the Juubi clone.

Alright, he may lose to Konan, I don't know anything about her to argue against it. But he beats Hidan, and Zetsu.

If Shino, his father and the Aburame clan cannot take out or trap Konan then Shino alone stands zero chance.

Hidan will eventually get covered in bugs and be enveloped though, little him stopping that. The only way he'd be able to kill the things is spinning the scythe around like a turbine, which i'm sure he can do but I don't see going very far.
