Ah, one needs to be careful when reading threads like this. I mean, man, spoilers are everywhere. It would be so nice if moderators took care of that like it's done on other forums.
So, ehhh, I noticed that fans didn't like one bit that the second season will be 12 episodes. There is so much whining on forums. Well, I do understand that it's been quite a long time but it's not like we didn't have anything during that waiting period, right? There were a bunch of OVAs and other things released after the first season (not to mention that manga readers had new material every month or so???), so I think all of that whining is a bit over the top.And you know, the first episode was pretty good, really quality material, so it was worth waiting a long time for this, I think.
For me, the greatest point of this episode was this smooth transition from episode 25 to episode 26. Prior to watching the new episode I re-watched the first season and I think it's amazing how there isn't that sensation that there is like 4?/5? years gap between episodes 25 and 26.
The lowest point of this episode for me was music, especially, the opening. It felt like a rip off of the first opening of the first season and I didn't like it at all. I appreciate the idea that the same band who did the first opening (1st season) was gathered to do this one but to me it didn't really work. The music in the whole episode is somewhere between music for the first season and something new which for me didn't sound all too good.
The animation is so nice; same style and so very steady compared to the first season. The same atmosphere is there, the excitement is there and what else could be said except, I can't wait for the next episode.
