I think it was the perfect placement for it in the series, that last visual with Naruto looking out at the Minato monument maturely was subtle and underplayed. They just DID need to end on Ch.700. Cut out one of the Iruka episodes.

I'd say Iruka being Naruto's father at his wedding was a great note to end on and what other characters would be more fitting to mirror the beginning of the series?

That was my grip too. It felt like a final episode for Naruto, rather than the entire cast.

Ending with Hiashi as one of the final relevant characters is definitely strange. A small gripe for me though, i'd take a Konoha slice of life series any day. It's almost what i'm hoping for with Boruto.
