But who can summon the statue? If the "Hyuga" guarding the Gedo statue was would've dampened the continuance of Kugaya's revival then I'm sure BZ would've weaved in a Trip To The Moon in the grand scheme of things. In essence it being on the moon means nothing being that it can be and was summoned to earth by awakening the Rinnegan. Yes in the grand scheme of things, the Hyugas aren't irrelevant but in the specific task of awaking Kaguya they were (which was my original point).

In any case, we can't really know for sure whether summoning the gedo statue is solely a rinnegan tech. While the rinnegan is required, we do not know whether it is due to that. For all we know, tenseigan can also summon it.
They or Hamura managed to bring it up to the moon. We know that he can also create and destroy things. Hamura is RS of the Moon while Hagoromo is RS of Earth. So the full capabilities of tenseigan is not revealed to us, mainly due to the fact that the tenseigan came AFTER shippuden.

Like how are you going to do the same with a tenseigan? grab a hyuga? ok check. but they have a seal.
