The real problem is she already had a decent design drawn by Kishi and unlike everyone else who he had most changed their designs slightly, the new mangaka completely changed her outfit to this abomination so of course people are really going to notice.

Kishi and Ike have different views but he's been with the series since day one. He's taken over the series and this is his vision. That's going to have to be accepted.
