I just remembered Zetsu's hype when I was reading chapter 683 viz about Kaguya merging with land/nature to attack, so I was wondering if Zetsu can do that to a certain degree.

Spiral zetsu is the original part of the god tree unlike the white zetsus that were people ones before. Think of spiral zetsu as a mini gedo mazou.

I know zetsu as a whole looked like that, but I'm kinda irked that kishi didn't explain why he was an S-class when he was basically a weak plant-like creator that can't do anything but spy/record.
