Has Hollywood (or just globalism) permanently prevented another World War?

So many friendships and relationships have formed between cast members in Hollywood.

Look at the Power Rangers 2017 cast, for example. An Australian, a Brit, a Canadian, and two Americans. They're forever gonna be friends now thanks to their shared incredible experience making Power Rangers.

(Well, that's actually a bad example. All of their countries are on good terms)

But anyway, if another Worid War were on the verge of breaking out, so many celebrities from different nations would cry out and protest peace. Famous YouTubers, too.

Only Russia and China pose a threat to the U.S. I simply wouldn't want to go to war with either or both of them just because there are Russian and Chinese actresses I like lol

Seriously, think about it. If you are a powerful world leader, what would you gain by fighting other powerful world leaders?

resources? with our weapons today, those resources will most likely be erased.
economy? there are better ways of making money through wars. Having world war is counter productive.
You'd want to instigate smaller countries to go to war and supply that.
If not, then entice a revolt and supply both rebels and standing government. Let the war never be over.
If you wish a more direct approach, annex other countries so they would go to war with you.


Basically everything is all planned out. Powerful world leaders have an oligopoly on earth's wars.
Seriously how will actors and actresses whining about wars create peace?
Have you ever studied history?
Any sort of advocacy will be stopped by either imprisonment, slavery, or death.
Everyone will cooperate or die.

I don't think small. I'm just obsessed with Hollywood. I live in Southern California, very close to LA. And if I could start life over, I'd want to be an actor...so yeah.

And if there ever is another World War, I doubt it'd be as dark as past wars. Some shit like the Holocaust or slavery will never happen again. In shithole Third World countries, sure.

War against a fellow civilized First World country like Russia would be more sophisticated and straightforward. It'd still be ****ed up. Lots of deaths by bombings and gunfire, but nothing extremely barbaric and heinous like stuff that happened in World Wars I and II.

We're actually cool with Russia right now though, despite popular belief.

lol no, not a chance. It's a cool idea to think about, but the bottom line is that actors (or Hollywood for that matter) have absolutely no sway in worldwide politics. Hollywood is highly glorified but at the end of the day it is nothing but a business. The studios don't care about anything but how to milk as much money as possible from people—they could give a rats ass about politics. An excellent example of this is what happened not too long ago with the whole debacle with Sony and the Interview.

For those who don't know or otherwise don't remember, when Sony was a mere few months away from releasing the Interview in theaters, (supposedly) North Korea basically said "if you release that film, we will go to war". Everyone with common sense knew there were several things wrong with that—for starters it was downright laughable that any country would be that butt-hurt and salty over a film, and then also the fact that North Korea was the one stating it was also laughable. Point is, Sony had every right to release the film but theater chains started backing down so Sony ended up cancelling the theatrical release because there wouldn't be any profit in it at that point. You could make the argument that Sony bent the knee like that because of the threats, however even President Obama (at the time) openly said that Sony not releasing the Interview due to the threats was a mistake. So at the end of the day, even in that scenario it came down to nothing more than profits. Sony did end up releasing the film digitally, and even licensed the film on Netlfix (as far as I know the film is still there). Had that move been purely political, then Sony would have scrapped the film all-together in the interest of peace.

One way i can see for a world war is a big terrorist group with resources declare war on the world ( no celebrity can stop this other than rally against rhem ) ofc much bigger than al-Qaeda or ISIS and i probably don't want to see world goes against China and Russia because we gonna see a destruction never seen before .

Hollywood is a bizarre example, but a market where America runs the show until they realise it's an industry that ripping off Eastern films, downplays arthouse and European film and constantly steals British actors. All before they have to start pandering their films to China? Kinda works.
