Regardless of how many people hated the idea of Naruto "death" it would still benefit for the story when he already fulfilled his role and his dream. Now it's about boruto story, this would also bring Naruto as a redeemable character after this whole atrocity in the war arc as well as to solidify the theme of entrusting the Will of Fire to the next generation similar to how Jiriaya and Asuma went through. Naruto will pass on his torch to his son would be lit, the Will of Fire to Boruto entrusting his son legacy and his souls finally Rest in Peace.

It all depends on how it's executed I guess
Time will tell.If he does die I can see so many developments for everyone close to him.This will be the first kage that dies that we will see the true impact of.
If he does die it must be permanent.

Actaully Sasuke should die, that'll have a great impact on Boruto since he wants to be like him and that way Sarada too gains MS, EMS and Rinnegan at once. Boruto will have to find his own path instead of relying on Sasuke and become stronger in the process.

As long as Naruto was not being reduced to fodder like how Neji died. However when it comes down to significance; Naruto hold the most impact than any other characters in the show since the whole series have been devoted on Naruto life; everything he went through struggle to get where he is right now.

True but Boruto ALWAYS cared alot more about his family than anyone else; it's always been centered around Naruto especially considering in the past he had too much resentment with his father when he bragged alot about not spending enough time for him; I think that would give him more growth and pay more respect for Naruto. Sarada also looked up Naruto; and if he dies she will also awaken the MS as well.

It can go either way but I believe both would die since it's not the first time it happen considering both Naruto and Sasuke are labeled as a "Legendary Shinobi"

Boruto does have the audience and Kishi said he'll make it better than Naruto. There is no place for Naruto to be in the story when he already fulled his dream. If Naruto died it's a good way to move forward with the series instead of milking with the Cashcow Naruto/Sasuke cause it's just going recycling this same format. Naruto /Sasuke are the most OP character meaning that Boruto and the others don't contribute much to the plot and the villains won't bring much threat since Naruto and Sasuke will always stop them.
