The problem with this tactic was just Momoshiki having really high reflexes, and Sasuke being drained from using his S/T + Fighting Momoshiki earlier (he was tired so I-E: Not moving in his best form).

IMO there is no way for Sasuke to have known that Momoshiki could have countered that since he never once utilized it against him 1 on 1 before.

I think it's just after eating the kinshiki Chakra fruit it gave him a massive strength and speed boost easily overpowering the other Kage's. Kinshiki and Sasuke was already roughly equal in speed so I just think Momoshiki simply became faster than him not that Sasuke became slower.

Naruto and Sasuke didn't even beat Kaguya, they sealed her with Sakura/Kakashi's help. Whom were completely useless against JJ Madara, but thanks to the story because of 'certain abilities they had or gained', they were able to help out.

Boruto's role is pretty much what a shonen protagonist's role is. I just don't like the fact that they give him so much attention and he gets so much development and still is a unlikeable character. As for Momoshiki, I think he will come back, even if it is indirectly, through the seals Kawaki and Boruto have or something.
