> Sasuke stops relying on curse seal before awakening MS
> Doesn't change the fact that Sasuke relied and had the curse seal for years
> Sasuke gets EMS after fighting Itachi in a death match and honing his own MS skills against Kages
> Sasuke gets his brothers eyes because Itachi knew he would need them after his death. Regardless of the context, the Manga made it very clear to establish that EMS is a power up you obtain thanks to someone else's eyes. Meaning its not your power to begin with, but a combination.
> Sasuke gets Hagoromo's chakra after facing near-death experience against a JuubiJin and original Rinnegan wielder
Sasuke gets Hagoromo's chakra after a blind Madara killed him for wasting his time.
Only free power-up Sasuke received was Curse Seal and he stopped relying on that long before he reached just half of his full potential. And EMS was never free either considering what Sasuke had to do before getting Itachi's eyes.
Every power up you get in the Manga usually consisted of 'free' unless you actually earned it. For example, Madara beating Edo-Hashirama, and then stealing his Senjutsu. While that's not his power and he is technically 'borrowing it' -- He took it by force.
Same logic is applied when Sasuke forcefully obtains Bijuu chakra in his final fight.
Sasuke always had the skill of a prodigy even without relying on handouts (i.e : copying Lee's taijutsu within a few days), on the other hand Boruto hasn't shown ability to rely on his own skills without help unlike Neji, Sasuke and Itachi
Except Boruto has displayed numerous prodigal feats despite the fact that he never trained consistently, even more so compared to Neji, and Sasuke. Who were both serious shinobi since they were children.
Even Shinki, another high class ninja of this generation, stated that what Boruto did against Momoshiki, he most likely would not have been able to do.
I dare say that he earned his stripes the moment that he became useful against a threat that was way out of his league.
End of.
