Looks like it was a draw. I was hoping that Gohan would lose so that he would realize that he needs to get a lot stronger for the tournament so that he can protect his universe.

I think the draw will have this effect to, all the while not making Gohan seem completely hopeless in his current state.

True, but the draw removes the tension from Goku's fight since it's now impossible for U7 to lose. They can only tie or win against U9 now.

Well, it has no weight or reward, so it's not like it matters anyway. These are called exhibition matches for a reason.

And Goku and Vegeta dealt with everyone aside from Hit in the Universe 6 tournament fairly easily too, so I do wonder if there are fighters beyond even Hit's power there and we just so happen to not know about them. I mean, some new people will be introduced with them having ten competitors...

I think its cumulative of the entire universes. On earth 7 aside from the 5 sayians and beerus whos anywhere close to planetary level power? Where as with universe 6 there could be more fighters. Hell in there universe sayians arent extinct and there isnt even an earth that alone puts them over

They never said that the quality of a universe is based on strength. For all we know, quality=morals/civilization

I doubt it's based on strength. Why would Kaioshin and Beerus be blaming each other then? They have no control over how strong the mortals in the universe make themselves. Also, Zamasu, Gowasu, Shin, and Kibito were all surprised that that there were mortals stronger than the Kaioshin, which I doubt would be the case of they were supposed to make sure that the mortals in their universes have enough physical strength.

U7 only won because Hit chose to throw the fight against Monaka. U6 would have won if Hit was determined to win throughout the entire tournament.

This episode just brought the whole power scaling thing of Dragon Ball to an entirely new level.

Actually it finally gave a meaning to being a God of Destruction.They were responsible for destroying planets and keeping the mortal level up but Beerus was just sleeping and not doing his job while Shin was just too laid back . It also explains why Universe 9 was even lower than Universe 7 as the god of destruction seemed unsure of himself.

Average mortal lvl of the universe is not the same as average mortal lvl of the team.

The universe with the lowest average mortal lvl could have the strongest fighter.

In universe 7 almost all saiyans are extinct and Frieza is dead.
That obviously makes your average mortal lvl drop.

This is in case of power lvl being used for average mortal lvl.
As maybe its something else or a combination of elements that are factored in.

Shin and Beerus screwed up.
No matter how you put it though, Shin and Beerus screwed up in managing the average mortal lvl in their universe.

Beerus should have used different standards for destruction and his actions
Not selfish ones based on if someones food is great or not, but more focussed on the well being and average mortal lvl of the universe. Maybe even bringing more fighters in like Goku and Vegeta for competition. Sleeping often probably aint the way to go either.

Shin apparently took too much of a backseat and should have helped the mortals more in their development.

Yeah I think they get female broly but the numbers still don't add up. In the manga Goku was stronger and threw the match but in the anime they made it seem like there is a struggle. There are still 4 more saiyans that are stronger than the 6th universe warriors bar Hit.
So what level is the 6th universe then?
