Who do You Think Will Die to Make The Story Darker

I mean the foreshadowing last chapter hints at things getting much darker with Boruto suffering a great deal in the future. The first chapter flash forward also shows a destroyed village with Boruto looking like a combination of Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi who all suffered great loss during the series. To me there is no way Boruto can truly suffer if both his parents, his temmates, sensei, as well as his other friends are all alive and well. There are already hints Naruto maybe dead and he seems to have a transplanted byakugan eye from someone. I think that he needs to lose several people in his life to really suffer to get the story going. My question is who do you think is expandable and will die to make the story darker? I personally think Mitsuki is quite expandable.

I think in an interview Kishi wanted to make the Boruto story lighter than the Naruto manga.

Then how do you explain the first chapter flash forward and the really ominous foreshadowing this last chapter. You cannot trust Kishi interviews plus the series might start out lighter but definitely seems like it will get darker later on.

Mitsuki does seem very expendable. He does not really have many fans in the fandom and does not really have much of a character other than praising Boruto. Some of the older gneration characters or someone like Sarada dying could make the fandom much more angry. I mean he does have some strong abilities though but the death of a teammate of Boruto could set him off.

Well couples dying together is a thing in the manga. Sasuke, Naruto, Iruka, Nagato, and I think several others parents died at the same time.
