As far as i'm concerned i think Big Mom only has 2 possible routes at this point. Either Luffy will punch her in the face or she'd be off-paneled by someone else. For the sake of the story, it's the most viable options she has now. I'd love the first option to happen though The only thing that makes me hesitate is the pacing declared few months ago

Tbh I'm surprised it's 7-11 I didn't think that many people would say BM would lose based on the posts I'd been seeing. Kind of interesting to see as the arc progresses the number increases. I agree with Bogard I'm starting to feel if we don't see BM defeated now then her defeat will happen off panel.

How is that at all on the same level? How is one Olympic team beating another with more experience the same as four individuals beating hundreds of megaton nukes and the largest army in the world with their bare hands? Why do I have to ask this of any other other human being over the age of 10?

This BM/Luffy scenario is more comparable to the Miracle on Ice than it is your scenario and I know you'll refuse to accept any idea that isn't yours as right but let me break it down.

First, your scenario is a military force against 4 people(which is already inaccurate as Luffy's side alone had more than 4 people), no mention of any training or equipment or skills for the underdog team so you have two completely different forces. The Miracle on Ice had an assembly of people who compete in the same field as their opponents (Hockey) with one group having less experience and being considered the severe underdog.

The BM scenario has Luffy and co., the Vinsmoke army, Capone's whole crew and Jinbei's crew and boat should be somewhere around the island. That's an assembly of people who compete in the same field as their opponent(piracy) who have less experience and are considered severe underdogs. This is more than just Luffy, Sanji, Jinbei and Capone. And say what you want about the Vinsmoke's and the East Blue but they obviously are capable enough to get the attention of a Yonkou.

of course in one way or another Luffy will have some sort of victory (escaping the island with Sanji and the poneglyphs is also a win for him) because he is the main character, but the conditions for a Big Mom win is not that she kills him, she just has to do well enough to not get her ass kicked by Luffy.

Football games
Boxing matches
Anime/Manga match ups
