Konohamaru may die in Boruto manga

This is only my speculation but i think Konohamaru may die in the Boruto manga given the recent history we had with the Sarutobi name...the reason why i think this may happen is because in Naruto Part 1 Hiruzen died protecting the Leaf from Orochimaru and in Part 2 Asuma was killed by Hidan right in front Shikamaru essentially lighting his own Will of Fire. Now with this being said i believe Konohamaru will eventually share the same fate by either protecting his students from a greater threat or sacrificing himself for a greater good thus holding true to the Sarutobi name by passing on his own Will of Fire to the new generation...Any thoughts???

Id perfer a new villian to do this but if it was Kawaki then that would add a little more depth to him and trying to eradicate the shinobi system by starting with Konohamaru
