Borrowed powers by technical term of using then returning(or losing after use in some cases)

Naruto:
Kurama's Chakra(yes and no: read below)
hagoromo's sun seal
Minato and Kushina's chakra inside the kurama seal

Sasuke:
Curse Mark v1+2
Orochimaru himself
Juugo's senjutsu
hagoromo's moon seal
1-9 Tailed Beasts (VOTE2)


While I believe kurama's chakra is rightfully apart of Naruto due to Minato tweaking the seal to let kuramas chakra leak out naturally to blend with narutos chakra, in the long run when Naruto dies the mass of chakra that is Kurama will leave his body and live on. In that sense it IS borrowed. The chakra from the other tailed beasts are no living entities so it'll vanish along with naruto so it is not borrowed.

Point is while playing the borrowed powers card is inaccurate due to definition, it is redundant due to the theme of chakra and naruto being ashura anyways. Chakra was meant to connect different people as one to endure.

lastly, sasuke who was the stand alone indra has borrowed way more power than naruto has. technically. Madara is guilty of that as well compared to Hashirama.

So lets drop the borrowed powers card ok.

It's almost as if Sasuke and Naruto are shounen protagonists in a story. The narrative dictates the powers, not the other way round.

You are aware that Sasuke himself has not won a single proper fight without someone else's help since his fight with Gaara back in the Chunin Exams, no? Its not a much better position for him to be in, if I do say so myself.

1. I did not deny kurama is borrowed
2. ninjas helping arent borrowed power, and i did not deny kushina was borrowed power in the seal.
3. ninjas(frogs) helping are not borrowed power. thats called teamwork.
4. the bit of chakra he got from the tailed beast is permanent for him to speak to and get more chakra from. so it is not borrowed. an outside source of power but not borrowed.
5. RSM is another outside acquired power but not borrowed.

Sage Mode requires no modification or altering the body, the user needs to train in skills to absorb natural energy and balance it.

I vote it is not a outside source power, since it is a power anyone can gain by training or being talented like Hagoromo.

correct but i was referring specifically to people shouting "borrowed" powers. all their powers acquired from outside sources are a whole different story like you showed.
