Its not just Tobidara and Itachi that done the mass murdering, they were also helped by KageBobi, IndianBobi, PakiBobi and IndianKageBobi

Definitely a plot hole tbh. Danzo mentions there was unknowing children. Wasn't one of the reasons why Sasuke got spared because he knew nothing about the coup d'etat? Unless other Uchiha parents wanted their children to get involved (which is unlikely that ALL of them wanted to, because even Fugaku wanted to keep Sasuke out of it). I don't see why Itachi had to kill the other kids as well

Kakashi at the time was stated to be 6 years old when he entered the Chuunin Exams and it was expected and imperative to kill your opponents during these exams just to survive and dignify their village. As sinister as it seems, this was practically the norm and Itachi simply did what he had to do.

Yes but the manga makes it perfectly clear that killing the opposing rival clan was more than just sake of war. When the uchiha clan is emotionally driven by a certain goal there is nothing stopping them, sasuke, obito and lesser extent madara pretty much confirms that; albeit not TnJ'ed

Insight into the clan was limited, but its clear they were very isolated and were very small in number when compared to the rest of the village. Sasuke's family was the only family shown in the clan. Danzo's statement could have been focused solely on Sasuke and no other, which is what Itachi seemed to react to. No other Uchiha members have been shown to be part of the 2 Konoha 11 generations nor the new generation, other than Sarada. This further proves how small the clan is. I'd put money on the number of Uchiha children under 13 years old at the time of the massacre countable on one hand. However, considering Kishi might have considered this, the number might be zero.

Yeah, because the clan with the most envied genetics in the world wouldn't have more than one child. Give me a damn break. Other children weren't mentioned because that would be vividly showing that Itachi slaughtered innocents. Itachi's' sacrifice is shown as him killing a bunch of evil Uchiha police-force members, rather than the non-combatant families that were uninvolved in the whole thing.

Do you think Itachi would have had regrets like he did when fighting Kabuto if he had only killed the guilty and malevolent?

The whole show excuses the discrimination against the Uchiha clan by saying; well they shouldn't have revolted just because they were being mistreated and put under surveillance by the most elite Ninja in the village. They should just suck it up and be killed.
