Why Didn't Obito Just Kidnap All The Jinjuriki

He could teleport anywhere without being detected. He should have just teleported to the villages and kidnapped all the jinchurikis in their sleep. He literally had like 16 years to take Naruto where he wasn't even strong enough to fight back. He literally waited for 16 years to makes a move when he could have easily captured all the tailed beasts and summoned the Jubi at least a decade earlier than he did. The only think that stopped him was nonsensical plot.

You go tell yourself that starting the war made sense. He literally could have gotten both tailed beasts a hundred ways easier than starting the war. The war simply united the villages against him which made everything harder for him and at the time he did not even know Kabuto would help him with all the Edo's. Without Kabuto's help he would have stood no chance.

He tried that against Minato and failed hard. That alone should tell you why. On top of that, BZ would've stopped him from not following Madara's rules, there were also the likes of Oro and Itachi who had the means to stop him.

Now imagine fighting the entire shinobi system at once ? It would've ended the same way it did in War Arc, Edos would've stopped him, BZ could've stopped him, Itachi could've used KA on him, Sasuke would've eventually been strong enough to stop him.

He only started war because it was the only option left. It's better to let things go smooth by capturing bijuu behind than scenes and using Nagato as a mask of your true intentions. You underestimate the other ninja too much.

Suspicion would've emerged among the shinobi world immediately had an Uchiha with unfathomable power appeared. Presumably, shinobi would've believed him to have been Madara which would've automatically discredited any sort of credibility there was in Pain being the leader of the Akatsuki which is something Obito implicitly wanted. Likewise, he was operating under a false pretense within the Akatsuki and didn't want his colleagues to grow skeptical of him; even Obito didn't feel it was right to reveal his identity to Kisame until after Itachi's death.

Essentially, people would've believed he was Madara, there'd have been little credence in Pain being the leader of the Akatsuki, and he wanted to efface his identity and significance to his colleagues.

I also highly doubt Obito could've captured any of the Jinchuuriki 16 years ago as Chiyo deduced that the only reason the Akatsuki had been snagging Jinchuuriki (post-timeskip) is because they needed to

. If he wasn't ready now, he wasn't ready 16 years ago. In a sense, Kishimoto predicted and resolved everything in spite of the extra tidbits he added later in the manga.

That's why Madara said that he shouldn't be compared to Obito.

- He had mokuton/sharingan to control bijus.
He would have started IT even before the series had started.

Obito's abilities are practically broken. He would've turned Narutoverse Upside down if he wasn't restricted by Plot.
