Will Naruto Gaiden ever be animated?

We already have confirmation that Boruto anime will start with an original story(Not Naruto gaiden since it's canon from kishi and not an original story)

so whats the deal why are they ignoring it? plus Sarada and Boruto are smaller in Naruto gaiden thats why it should happen before anything else .

I would love to see Shin animated and More sarada screen time animated . Oh and chocho too

More than likely they will animate it. It is a big part of the character develop of one of the main characters of the new generation in Sarada. Also I don't see how they would not animate a full volume written and drawn by Kishi. I mean they are animating some of the novels and even animated Kishi's comedy one shots so a full cannon volume should be a no brainer to be animated.

There's no doubt it will be animated. SP loves their filler, but they've never passed up an opportunity to animate canon (although that doesn't mean it wont be fluffed up like a MF with filler content). If I were to take my best guess as to what their plan is, is to start the Boruto anime off with at least a years worth of filler content to allow the manga to progress a little, THEN they will animate the Gaiden (probably fluffed up), and then they will re-adapt the recap of the movie into the anime (likely even more fluffed up than it needs to be, just like what DBS did with the movies).
