Hey there, Notch! Would you be so kind to link me your bio so I have something to refer to you as? My training will be RP style that's why.
But while you're at it let's get the basics off the ground. Ninjutsu is determined as the backbone creed of all ninja, both fictional and real. In actuality, Ninjutsu is the amalgam of a broad spectrum of techniques tied into one package. These techniques include:
Mind games, fooling the opponent: Genjutsu
Weapon proficiency and assassination arts: Bukijutsu and Kenjutsu
Hand to hand combat: Taijutsu
On the Base here however Ninjutsu is subdivided and taught separately. It is now my job to teach you the core aspect of Ninjutsu with the use of chakra as well as some aspects of Bukijutsu. Speaking of which, can you explain to me what chakra is?
Apologies for my lateness, I'll be actively replying from here on out.
As for my biography, I have

, but if you wouldn't mind, I'd much prefer to RP in the first person as myself.
Chakra is the life force that governs the Narutoverse, the "fuel" that ninja use as a means of performing acts that would otherwise be impossible in our world. Originally passed onto others by Hagoromo through Ninshu, Chakra courses throughout the body via the Chakra Pathway System, consisting of a combination between both spiritual and physical energy.
Alright, sorry for my tardiness. Now let's get going, shall we?
Now you can either choose to RP this training out or go the textbook route. If you choose to RP you will have to type your Gaara bio actually doing the move and describing how you think it'd be executed along with other nuances. The textbook route will only see you stating at least 3 advantages and disadvantages of the technique as well as any other questions or comments you may have about it.
The first technique we have is undoubtedly the most basic: water/wall walking. By keep a balance of chakra on the soles of your feet/shoes in relation to any surface a ninja can pull of some pretty gravity defying stunts such as running up walls and doing push ups on water. Its some crazy stuff and there isn't much to be elaborated on, just know its what ninjas do. xD
(Suimen Hokō no Gyō) - Water Surface Walking Practice
Rank: E
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 5
Damage points: N/A
Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of the their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. This technique becomes second nature to shinobi with more practices.
Note: Technique only for use of training methods.
(Ki Nobori no Shugyō) - Tree Climbing Practice
Rank: E
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 5
Damage points: N/A
Description: This is a training method used to gain the basic skills of chakra control. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the tree, causing the bark of the tree to break around the point of contact and the user to fall. This technique becomes second nature to shinobi with more practice.
Note: Technique only for use of training methods.
And lastly we have the transformation technique which allows your bio to change his/her appearance into virtually anything from other people to objects, such as a Fuma shuriken or even a chair. The more random the transformation the less likely you are to be caught out on it. Unless the observer has chakra sensory or Doujutsu, then this technique would be rendered ineffective.
(Henge no Jutsu) - Transformation Technique
Rank:EType:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra:5
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique, which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.
*Strolls back into the training session shamefully* I'm back. xD
I'll simply go ahead and take the textbook route to pick up for lost time. My comments for those three techniques as a whole are that they're pretty useful with no drawbacks (actually, the transformation technique, not so much, meh). But the first two are passive in terms of being used in battle or RP, so that's nice. As you said, they allow us to perform feats which would otherwise be impossible.

Can you humor me a little more about what you think? How can you picture yourself using at least one of the three listed to your advantage in a fight? I don't want to pressure you or anything as training is a major deterrent to newcomers, but scanty replies are just as irksome to me :/

The water walking technique can be used as a means of raising one's elevation by using an appropriate water technique to lift off of the ground. From there the advantage of being at a higher altitude can be used to get a better view of the battlefield, or to gain a more clear view of the opponent and their surroundings. The tree climbing technique... actually, I have a question on this one: would this allow you to move upward vertically along any surfaces besides a tree? Like a rock slab or something?
