Why did Sasuke overuse his Mangekyou Sharingan?

I wouldn't say he went completely blind.

I would say he just overused MS to the point he went blind temporarily.

I'm pretty sure his eyesight would have came back the next day.

Dude said he was practically completely blind by the end of the day he started overusing it. How is that any different than sasuke over overused it in 1 day and subsequently went blind?

I don't feel like comparing the exact numbers but the end result was the same. Overuse= blindness.

Using one Amaterasu then being forced to put it out twice immediately afterwards, one of them being a fire big enough to cover an entire Bijuu. Thus, three consecutive uses, four if you count the Genjutsu (right eye) and Amaterasu casting (left eye) separately, with one of them also being notably more straining than the previous ones. Enough to damage your eyesight at least temporarily, I'd say.

Well he used Amaterasu 1x. Genjutsu 2:'(though vs Raikage Sasuke used a 3 tomoe genjutsu and still had strain so idk if it'll count or not) and putting out Amaterasu 2x.
5 MS uses in 1 day before losing his sight.

Itachi 2x Tsukuyomi 1 genjutsu(should still strain his eye's since it happened to Sasuke) and 1 Amaterasu in part 1.(probably never really went blind until part 2.

Kakashi don't really remember how many Kamui he used during the war.

Well, Sasuke didn't really lose his sight as much as he damaged it, and there's no way of being sure if those effects were permanent or if they'd diminish within time. Personally I think Sasuke going blind so quickly was not just a factor of him using his eyes so much, but also from using them without pause. He gave himself no time to rest and the damage just got worse from there. Itachi, on the other hand, has no recorded use of his Mangekyo from his meeting with Sasuke on part 1 to his fight with Kakashi in part 2, and there's a two and a half year gap in there.

As for Kakashi...lets not bring Kakashi into this, we all know his MS use in the war was BS.

He never intended on fighting all the Kage so you can't say his decision was foolish. No one knew he even infiltrated the summit until Zetsu betrayed him because Obito commanded it.

Sasuke isnt an idiot, he only wanted to kill Danzo whichi means he had a plan to avoid fighting everyone and accomplishing his goal at the same time. It wasn't until Zetsu appeared that Raikage and the entire summit went after him.


And even after he was forced to fight the other Kages he told them his business was with Danzo and no one else. His fight against Raikage, Mei and Gaara was self-defence.

And in the end of the day Sasuje's actions were justified while the Kage were wrong to attack him because Danzo planned on betraying SA by using KA on them.

Yes he was, he planned on sneaking up on Danzo but then the whole summit was aware he infiltrated when BZ told the Kages, after Raikage went after him and Gaara was trying to stop him he had limited time to catch Danzo before he escaped hence why he went straight to where Danzo was.

No, he wasn't forced. He decided to fight through the raikage. He was then saved by Gaara, willingly rushed into a room that had the other kages in it.

Almost died to Mei, then almost died to Onoki. Requiring himself to be saved by Obito. and had his chakra restored from white zetsu and Karin after Obito incapacitated his ass.

MS Sasuke is literally blinded by his own rage and desires.


Someone who was smart would have simply left and waiting for Danzo to leave rather than rush him in front of people who can end him. He was played like a fool the entire time.

His plan wasn't even his plan. It was Obito's.

ill concede the sasuke had a plan argument as I'm sure he did and it looked like he did before they got caught but i don't believe his actions were justified.

danzo was a good man doing his civic duty and its not his fault sasukes family were a bunch of traitors who then bred a traitor to the clan and that traitor "itachi" made a conscious choice to betray his clan and mentally torture a small child with countless S rank genjutsu which explains why sasukes brain is all mush and he makes emotional decisions
