Depends on the user.
Neji couldn't even deal with a Susano'o ribcage with Juuken, but Might Guy could most probably smash through one with Gouken.
I'm not to familiar with strong fist's inner workings. Is Strong Fist similar to Juuken where as you need open some gates to use it to make it effect? Like needing the Byakugan to fully utilize Juuken? Or is it just naturally a powerful taijutsu style?
The way I see it they both are kind of equal in their different aspects. Strong Fist is about power and speed where Juuken is about accuracy and debilitation.
Like I can see a strong Fist user smashing through Heavenly Rotation. And likewise, I can see a Skilled Hyuga shutting down the kintetsu of their opponent before 8IG can be utilized to bolster Strong Fist.

Strong Fist relies on one's own physical power - of course that can be boosted with the Gates. It focuses on brute force, which on a person translates to breaking bones and inflicting damage on the outside. A direct antithesis to Gentle Fist which focuses on forcibly disrupting chakra flow, translating to damaging organs on a person.
I agree with your comment though that as styles, they're equal for different reasons. However, Strong Fist has the advantage that it doesn't need boosts or other powers to be completely effective. Just a person with well-honed physical abilities and good technique... As you can see below, base Guy has no trouble levelling a wall with a single punch:

Strong Fist style that can actually be passed down to anyone who wants to train within that style where as Juken is only effective if your a Hyuuga clan member... Boruto is a great example of this notion
I think Strong Fist is more reliant on power boast to effect something where Gentle Fist do the most effective thing to disable the human, closing Chakra path way.
Yes Jyuken is less effective in smashing and destroying wall or solid Object thus its needs massive power boast bcus it not made to deal with full fledged Solid Construct but when it being applies to human, its very effective technique bcus using less power and just manipulate human weaknesses.
Outside of Naruto world, there exist such the same art as Jyuken that doesnt need any Byakugan. It have the ability to shut off your neural network/your spiritual path way make you paralyze of explode.
On all but three fronts, they're pretty equal by being the "other side of the coin":
(G vs. S)
- Drains chakra vs. Drains stamina
- Opponent not doing much with damaged organs vs. Opponent not doing much with broken bones
- Relies on extremely refined technique and Byakugan to be fully effective vs. relies on refined technique and physical power to be fully effective.
etc etc
But Strong Fist has the advantages of:
- Is just as effective in disabling humans, but is also vastly more effective against destroying physical constructs.
- No Byakugan needed to make full use of it.
- Higher potential.
- Can be massively boosted with Gates.
- Simpler, as you don't have to mould chakra to use it.
