Yeah it's pretty usual. It's been an inconvenience for as long as I've been a member quite honestly. It's not a big issue though, if you're expecting a reply or are just curious, I would just manually check however often suits you.

Was that when it was implemented? Honestly I don't remember haha, I've been somewhat active here since I joined so it certainly feels like it's been an inconvenience since I joined XD
