If he needs chakra to activate Izanagi, and Naruto destroys his chakra network with FRS, then most likely he's dead.

Wasnt Danzo set up to capture the Kyuubi in the first place? let alone he was aware of his battle with Pain so its possible he has some slight intel on that fight which could lead him to know about his Sage Mode but Torune and Fuu are no joke they were the first guys to even touch Tobi before the War Arc

Danzo and his henchmen vs Team 7 (no sasuke)? i give it to team 7, purely off the fact that kakashi is more of a help to naruto than fuu/tortune is to danzo.

Danzo's implanted eyes showed weak use of sharingan power exposed by Sasuke and his lack of control with hashirama's powers would get him nowhere. He prepared himself to capture a wild biju with those kekkai genkai but he is incapable of using its power to the fullest extent. So it'll be temporary just like his incomplete izanagi.

I was thinking that he was trying to activate it after being FRS'd.

If it's already activate, and he doesn't need to use chakra, he most likely is alive.
